The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is solid.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
